In 2020 I will turn 44. This means that I’ve been an artist for 27 years or more than half of my life now but it wasn’t my plan to become and artist because when I was 17 and getting ready for my senior year in high school, I wanted to be a landscape architect.
When I discovered art, my whole world changed and I cannot think of anything else that I would rather be doing with my life than creating artwork.
I would classify my style as modern since it’s a mix between abstract and realism. Lately, my work has been more impressionistic because I’ve been painting more landscapes than ever before.
My favorite artists are still the fathers of modern art like Picasso and Matisse but I’m also inspired when I get to hang out with today’s street artists because I’ve found that they are often producing the freshest, most original work in the art world.
