Lack Of Leadership Is The One Thing That’s Missing In The Padres 2021 Season

Lack Of Leadership Is The One Thing That’s Missing In The Padres 2021 Season

As lifelong Padre fan, I’ve seen it all, and lived through some pretty terrible teams over the years, this is why the 2021 Padres, and manager Jayce Tingler, gave me hope that this season could be the one that would result in the team heading

Don’t Make The Mistake Of Confusing Busy Work With Progress

Don’t Make The Mistake Of Confusing Busy Work With Progress

As an entrepreneur, artist, and writer, I’ve had to condition myself over the years to make progress when it comes to achieving my personal and professional goals. One big thing that I’ve learned is the importance of not mistaking busy work with progress. What do

Abba Returns To The Music World After More Than 40 Years

Abba Returns To The Music World After More Than 40 Years

If you’re a music fan, you know that Swedish supergroup ABBA has returned to the music world after a hiatus of more than 40 years.

I have never been a fan of ABBA’s music because I grew up in the ’90s and listened mostly to Alternative Rock bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and Radiohead.

Whenever I encountered ABBA’s songs, I typically changed radio stations because I wasn’t a fan of Disco style music, but I have to say that with age comes wisdom, and now that I’m 45, their music is growing on me.

New ABBA Album

ABBA’s new studio album is titled Voyage, and it’s going to have new material that fans have been asking for since the 1980s.

So far, I’ve heard two of their songs on YouTube, and have seen their new AI video (I still have faith in you), I have to say that the song is good, and the new video does a nice job at recreating how the band looked back in the 1970s.

The reaction to the new songs and video has been mixed. Some fans hate the new ABBA music and have vowed to not watch or listen to their new music, while others are excited about the new music from a band that has been dormant for a long time.

Bringing An Old Band Back To Life

With the new video, it’s easy to see why a band would go the AI route because the use of AI essentially dips that band into the fountain of youth and helps them market their music to a new audience.

From what I’ve seen from their “I still have faith in you video”, the use of AI works, even though the actual close-up scenes of the de-aged band is limited. It will be interesting to see more of their videos with the use of this technology and I will be interested to see if other recording artists will utilize it?

Following the recent death of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, at the age of 80, it’s easy to see that our favorite musicians aren’t going to live forever, but with the use of de-aging technology, and AI, could rockers like Neil Young or Dave Grohl continue rocking into their 80’s?

In Appreciation Of The Matrix – 22 Years Later And Still A Great Movie

It was 1999 and I was a 20 something guy who had a couple of hours to kill one sunny afternoon so I decided to go see The Matrix, the latest Keanu Reeves movie. Keanu was one of my favorite movie stars at the time,

Creating Doesn’t Have Requirements, You Have To Just Get Started

Creating Doesn’t Have Requirements, You Have To Just Get Started

One of the biggest problems that I see people make when it comes to creating, is placing too much importance on going to college, having special skills, or having the time to get started with creating. Sadly, in the 2020’s, many people spend more time

How To Stay Inspired When You’re Busy

How To Stay Inspired When You’re Busy

Being an artist (or creative person) is fairly easy when you’re young, but the reality is that when you grow older, there are more responsibilities and things to do that can easily take up time.

Sadly, the older an artist gets, if they have a ton of work to do during the day, it’s easy to lose the inspiration and sit on the couch for 2-3 hours per night instead of creating.

The big question is how can someone stay inspired to create, even when they get busy?

You Have To Incorporate Inspiration Into Your Day

Staying inspired is a lot like staying in love because both require work.

I’d like to say that I can sit down anytime and paint, draw or write but the reality is that sometimes the inspiration is just not there, unless I incorporate inspiration into my day.

How do I incorporate inspiration into my day?

  • Listen To Music – I keep my music playing all day long and make a point of creating playlists that I can use to keep the creative spark alive while I’m working.
  • Take Breaks – One thing that I’ve been doing more of lately is taking breaks during the day. Getting away from my work to take a walk, watch a movie, go out to eat, or hang out with my family helps me to stay energized and inspired.
  • Work In An Inspiring Space – Last of all, but most important, another great way that I stay inspired during my day is I work in an inspiring space. My office is in the 2nd story of my house which overlooks tall trees in my backyard. My workspace almost reminds me of a treehouse and it’s very easy to stay inspired even when I’m doing left-brain work.

Using these simple tips has helped me continue creating even as my children have grown and required more attention than they did when they were babies.

Make A Commitment To Staying Creative

Fact – Nobody will care more about your creativity than you, so if you’re an artist like me, musician, writer, or creative person, you have to make an effort to stay creative or you’re going to see that the inspiration can easily go away.

By committing to stay creative, you will be able to work through creative ‘dry spells’ and always continue producing your ‘art’ regardless of what’s going on in the world, or how overworked you may be.
